Our client is a NZ success story, developing well respected technology solutions for high profile International clients.

As a result of planned growth, they are looking to recruit a skilled senior developer to mentor and lead their team of software engineering professionals.

In addition to hands-on design/development responsibilities, the role will involve the line management of the software engineering team across all projects. You will have ultimate responsibility for ensuring that the team perform all activities to agreed quality standards; covering architecture, design, documentation, testing, and issue tracking and configuration management.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate experience in the development of real time embedded software solutions (including single-chip micro-controllers); encompassing analysis, system architectural design, coding (C & Assembler) and testing.

Familiarity with networking (TCP/IP), RAD tools (C++, Delphi) and databases (SQL, Interbase) would also be advantageous.

You will also have previous experience in leading small to medium teams of software developers and ensuring that they deliver to project requirements. You will be a strong communicator, with the ability to relate well to different personalities and Nationalities.

You will be motivated by keeping up with new technologies and their application; be well organised and self motivated; and enjoy a busy role working under project deadlines and schedules.

As this role is working extensively with International clients, there will be some requirement to travel (approximately 3-4 times per year).
