- Product Development Projects; Hardware, Software and Systems - Varied role working with High Profile Multinational Clients Our client is a NZ success story, developing globally respected technology solutions for high profile International clients. As a result of planned growth, they are looking to recruit a skilled system tester to assist in performing product design qualification and system acceptance testing. The role will involve writing test plans and test procedures for Development Products; conducting tests in-house as well as on customer sites (some International travel will be involved); working closely with the development teams to ensure that test requirements are included in the Design; and documentation of test reports. Working within a positive team environment, you will be expected to liaise with all stakeholders (including development teams, management, customers, programme managers and suppliers) to ensure that the objectives for the product with regards to system test requirements can be met. To be successful in this role, you will ideally be degree qualified with a minimum of 3-5 years commercial experience in system testing and a working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Access). You will also be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge of software to operate software interfaces based on message structures to the bits/bytes/data structures level. This knowledge of hexadecimal message structures will be required to test interfaces. Experience in the composition of test plans, test procedures, and in performing actual testing of hardware, software, environmental, EMC or systems is also essential. On a personal level, you will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working within a collaborative team environment. The ability to travel to test facilities and/or customer field sites, usually overseas 2-3 times a year, usually for 2-3 weeks at a time is mandatory.
