Where I’m from: I am originally from Dunedin, but I lived in many places around New Zealand – Dunedin, Timaru, New Plymouth, Whangarei, and Auckland until I moved overseas when I was 20, and then I spent time in England and in America. My professional background: During my professional career in three countries, I have worked in Restaurants, Retail, Accounting and in Human Resources roles. My last role was with a Football Club (Soccer) in Minnesota. I have always loved working with a variety of people, as the strongest part of any business is the people, and they will always make the difference! Why I’m passionate about my role at Beyond Recruitment: I really like my role at Beyond Recruitment because I get to work with some many great internal and external partners! Everyday I get to come into work and be surrounded by good people who want to do what is right, and it done with a positive attitude – hard to beat! What not many people know about me: That I enjoy the outdoors, and I will try most things once including bungee jumping in Queenstown and snowboarding off the back of 4,000+ meter mountains in Colorado. I also love the science of cooking, and sampling of different cuisines from around the world. What I love about Aotearoa, New Zealand: I love the relaxed and calm attitude that Kiwis have, and the fact that there is a level of care and respect for your neighbour and family. I love the ocean, the multiple walking and biking paths that are on offer, and the respect that you must have for mother nature at all times. What I love about Beyond Recruitment: I love the fact that we support many businesses and people across Aotearoa find the right work placement. Working as a team here at Beyond is great as we are all aiming for the same result – working toward meaningful and engaging employment for all! |
