Where I’m from: I’m from the sunny Hawkes Bay! I grew up on an orchard surrounded by rolling hills, sheep, beaches, and lots of stone fruit! Seeking an adventure, I moved to Wellington to study and have been here since. The coolest little capital is definitely home, although I love visiting Hawkes Bay each summer.

My professional background: Prior to working at Beyond Recruitment, I was a secondary school teacher for four years. I adored making positive change in students’ lives and building strong relationships, and the love of working with and helping people led me to recruitment.

Why I’m passionate about my role at Beyond Recruitment: I find fulfilment in my job by connecting with people, understanding their career goals, and helping them achieve success. The challenges and fast-paced nature of working in the temp team also keep things interesting and engaging!

What not many people know about me: I play the cello! I completed grades 1-8 and a diploma during my years at school, was awarded several scholarships and prizes, and have continued to play for weddings and events since. In case you don’t know, it’s basically a much larger violin!

What I love about Aotearoa, New Zealand: There are so many gorgeous walks in Aotearoa. A recent favourite was hiking the Abel Tasman over New Years, which I highly recommend. Mt Kaukau and Red Rocks are my local haunts; it’s always a bonus when there are a few seals lazing around the red rocks coastline!

What I love about Beyond Recruitment: I appreciate the strong sense of camaraderie at Beyond Recruitment. The team genuinely cares for one another, and people are always ready to lend a hand. This positive atmosphere carries over to how we interact with our candidates and clients, making the job-seeking and matching process more effective and supportive.
