Recruitment News: Beyond’s Biggest Loser Updated

Recruitment News Article Series: This week was mini challenge week for our Biggest Losers. We weigh in every Friday and beginning last week on Friday the 29th of August the weigh in was counting towards this week’s Mini Biggest Loser – the challenge within the challenge. Every competitor who weighed in last Friday was competing to lose the most weight during the week and win the mini challenge prize of lunch out with Dave Calder.

Today, the results came in for the mini challenge. Congratulations to Lusi Crawford who won with the biggest loss of 2.98 % of total body weight for the week. Steve Willoughby took out second place with his weekly loss of 1.40 % of his body weight and Sarah Shepherd came in third place losing 1.02 % of her body weight for the week.

We started off with a combined body weight of 2139.5 kilograms and have now lost a combined total of 76.5 kilograms. While there has been a lot of movement throughout the middle and end ranges; the Beyond Recruitment Biggest Loser leaders so far remain the same with Dave Calder in the lead and Kylie Smeaton coming in a close second. Congratulations should also go out to Ola Van Leeuwen who has lost her way to third place overall this week.

Over the next three weeks the competition will be heating up with the added intrigue of blind statistics. From now on weekly stats are to be emailed to steve.willoughby@beyond.co.nz and not written down on the board. The losses will be recorded but not published so the competitors won’t know until the end who is making progress and who will eventually win.

Come finals on the 30th September, there will be a presentation held on Level 11, with drinks and nibbles, to celebrate the overall Biggest Loser and award the prize money. But at the end of the day, we’re all a bit healthier, a bit lighter and a bit better off on the whole. Go hard everyone, best of luck and good work!
