Inclusive Recruitment & Workplace Practices

How We Work

Beyond Recruitment operates across Aotearoa New Zealand with a focus on fair, accessible and well managed recruitment practices.

We work with organisations to support hiring approaches that enable a broad range of individuals to access opportunities, recognising the different backgrounds, experiences and capabilities people bring to the workforce.

This is reflected in how we engage with both employers and candidates, and how we contribute to the wider employment market.

Supporting Inclusive Hiring

We support organisations across both the public and private sectors to strengthen their approach to hiring.

This includes:

  • supporting recruitment processes that are fair, consistent and accessible

  • maintaining awareness of barriers that can exist within hiring processes

  • working with organisations to improve access to opportunities across different communities

  • contributing to ongoing conversations around workforce participation in New Zealand

Our approach is grounded in our values and applied consistently across all areas of our business.

We are also proud to be a finalist for Outstanding Progress in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at the SEEK Annual Recruitment Awards (SARAs) 2023.

Representation & Workforce Access

We recognise the importance of ensuring workplaces reflect the communities they serve.

This includes supporting broader workforce participation across Aotearoa and working alongside organisations and communities to improve access to employment opportunities.

Our approach considers a wide range of factors including background, experience, culture, ability and access to opportunity.

Accessibility & Different Ways of Working

We recognise that individuals engage with work and recruitment processes in different ways.

This includes maintaining awareness of accessibility, neurodiversity and varying work styles, and supporting approaches that allow individuals to demonstrate their capability effectively.

We continue to build our understanding in this area and support organisations to do the same.

Health, Safety and Wellbeing

Health and safety are embedded across every level of our business.

We are committed to creating safe working environments for our people, contractors, temporary workforce, clients and visitors.

Our approach includes:

  • partnering with organisations such as Totika and Safe365 to maintain best practice

  • ensuring contractors and temporary staff are well briefed on workplace requirements

  • delivering induction and ongoing health and safety processes

  • supporting mental health awareness and wellbeing initiatives

We recognise that wellbeing extends beyond the physical workplace and includes creating environments where people can work safely and effectively.

Partnerships and Community Engagement

We work alongside organisations that support communities and workforce participation across Aotearoa, including:

These partnerships reflect our broader commitment to contributing positively to the communities we are part of.
