My Professional Background: I have four years of recruitment experience. After graduating from the University of Manchester, I worked for three years in agency recruitment in the UK, where I worked primarily with sales professionals across a wide range of markets and sectors. After a couple of years travelling, I have settled in Auckland, New Zealand where I worked with the recruitment team at Auckland Council for 12 months, before joining Beyond Recruitment.
Why I’m passionate about Finance & Procurement at Beyond Recruitment: I have always been passionate about numbers and I am a very organised and analytical person. My role allows me to couple this with my passion for people, connecting with candidates and clients, building relationships and developing teams and careers. With the continual advances in technology, which has a large impact on Accounting & Finance, this also allows me to develop my skills and learn new things.
What not many people know about me: One from my bucket list is to visit more than 100 countries (I currently stand on 36). I’m also quite handy with a pool cue, having captained my university team at the UK National Championships.
What I love about New Zealand: What’s not to love? The mix of city life, but you are never far away from incredible scenery. There is so much to see and explore.
What I love about Beyond Recruitment: The people! New Zealand companies are judged by their culture and it is the people that create the culture. I have been very lucky to find a role that suits me so well, within a team and business that offers such great support. We also live our values every single day!
