Statistics NZ are looking for a Principal Consultant Services Operations to act as their Lead Technical Advisor within their service desk environment.
Your strong infrastructure background and knowledge of level 2 and 3 support will be used to act as the escalation point for the service desk's technical queries they find difficult to solve. This will be approx. 40% of your time.
The remaining time will be spent on helping to build up the technical capability of the operations team, developing a technical skills matrix to identify the current skill shortages within the team, and making a plan on how to upskill the team to combat this.
Having a real passion for being future focused and proactive when it comes to technology will be extremely beneficial.
Reporting to the Manager Digital Business Services and Operations, you will act as his 2IC and assist with growing and developing the team.
