Senior ICT Products and Services Manager - neg up to $160K - brand new in-house role, make your mark!
- to $160,000 per annum, central Wgtn, near station
- in-house ICT products and services management role within enterprise scale ICT environment in mission critical government sector organisation
ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
This is a large government agency that supports one of the largest IT enterprise scale sites in New Zealand. They have around 3,000 users in total and have numerous offices based around New Zealand.
The IT team is made up of around 100 people.
ABOUT THE ROLE
FIRST OF ALL, you need to understand that your personal drive, focus, energy and enthusiasm is at least - if not more - important than anything else. This CTO is someone who wants to Get Things Done, and he is looking for someone of like mind to pick up this role and run with it.
This is a newly established position. In it, you will be responsible for the overall performance of their service domains and as such, they provide key input to the development of their relevant investment plans and roadmaps and have an important relationship with Business Stakeholders.
You will, in short, be responsible for a defined set of ICT products and services. The role will have you as the key engagement point for business customers in relation to those areas - "product domains". This includes overseeing the relevant investment plans and performance history of those product domains.
You would also be developing product relating roadmaps that align to the already-established strategic directions owned by senior management.
Some of those product domains include:
- mobility systems and remote workplace access
- business systems and applications
- customer channels (contact centres and intranets, for example)
- shared services.
PLEASE NOTE: you would not be responsible for ALL of them. Just a subset of them!
The position does not have direct line management responsibility but oversees virtual teams who are collectively responsible for managing ICT products and service sets to ensure they deliver to the required business outcomes of the organisation.
WHAT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOUR CV:
- previous experience of working in the IT products and services delivery area
- experience of having worked in a major organisation support enterprise scale systems
- experience in developing product or service roadmaps for delivery.
