Our client is seeking an experienced Data Specialist for a 3-4 month contract. To be successful in this role you must have a majority of the following skills and experience:
- worked with big data technologies, I.e. Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Impala, Hbase, Hcatalog, NoSQL, Flume, Sqoop, Storm or Spark
- must have worked on large and varied data sets (structured and unstructured)
- Scripting experience using either Shell, Python or R
- Analytics visualisation software experience
- Must have worked in Linux and Unix OS and security paradigms
- exposure to ECM, Cloudera Navigator and Apache tools is desirable
