The Principal Advisor Processes and Improvement is a newly created position and reports to the Manager Property Processes and Improvement. The primary outcome of the role will be to build the Asset Development business group into an optimised operational model.

The appointee will be responsible for implementing changes to core business processes and driving best management practice. A primary vehicle for this is the update to the Quality Management System (QMS) to include a tailored project management framework, and provide full capture of other key business processes. In parallel, the development of staff capability will be strongly emphasised.

The role may suit a design, development management or project management professional currently working in an operational role, who would like to expand their horizons to a senior management and strategic capability focus.
It may also suit an experienced change or quality professional that has specialist knowledge of property development.
Relevant Skills:
-Significant experience in managing property development or construction-related projects at the coal-face, and understand feasibility, design, consenting, procurement, and construction inside-out.
-Experience in implementing project management systems or process-based change programmes, with a solid understanding of applying PRINCE2 and P3M3 to the design of these. Integration of organisational governance, financial, risk and health and safety management is required.
-A working knowledge of the design, implementation and audit of ISO9000 quality management systems, with advanced systems thinking, process modelling and analytical skills.
-Well-developed stakeholder engagement skills.
-Experience in facilitating workshops and training, and be comfortable acting in a support and mentoring role to operational staff as part of the change programme.
-Programme or project management certification in MSP, PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent. A degree in property, architecture, engineering or construction would be highly regarded, as would membership of a professional association and ongoing involvement in a competence development programme.
