__About the Company__
This long term established CBD based Architectural practice are in a stage of dynamic growth and evolution, both from a project perspective and the team. They currently have 18 staff with a vision to grow to 30 and their range of projects and clients also continues to expand.
The culture is values based, supportive and professional and with Directors being family focused themselves, this spills into the creation of a family feel within the team.
Having been in business for decades, their reputation and service delivery holds a level of excellence that stands out in the architectural industry and will make you proud to be part of the business.
__About the opportunity__
You could call this role Office Manager, Practice Manager, Studio Manager or whatever you choose. There are a number of key skills that will ensure you hit the ground running and they include exposure to HR, Finance and Marketing functions. You may have done some of these tasks soley, or assisted external consultants, but we really need you to be savvy in all 3 areas.
Ideally you will come from a design environment meaning you understand the HR subtleties of dealing with designers and you are switched on to workflow and processes in such an environment.
You are commercially savvy enough to know that time is money, and smart enough to know when to focus on the bigger picture and when more detail is required.
You will quickly become the go to person in the office for a myriad of responsibilities so your organisational skills will be second to none. This will also mean you can cope with managing multiple projects with ease.
With any practice management job, tasks can vary, change, grow and adjust. Here is a list of what you are likely to encounter:
- Marketing and branding initiatives
- Business development support and research and you can even make calls yourself if you are that way inclined
- Human Resources support for recruitment, new starters and general policy management
- Liaise with suppliers, eg: CAD software suppliers, Accountant and general
- Be the generalist go to person in the office; you stay on the pulse of goings on!
- Support the three Directors by driving their vision and the planned practice evolution
- Help turn their goals into projects
From a technical perspective, it will be ideal if you have previous experience with Xero and WorkFlow Max, and even InDesign so you can assist in putting together proposals. There is a lot more this practice could do with WorkFlow Max so a professional level of expertise here will be welcomed.
This job could head in a number of directions, but in summary we are seeking interest from those with all round skills, ideally gained within a creative type environment.
The type of person that will fit into this culture is one who is keen to add value to a culture rather than define the culture, one who has a vision for excellence and is keen to be part of an evolving company, culture and job.
You will be values based meaning you make sound decisions based on integrity. You are all about __supporting__ the business, directors and being there for the greater team when they need support.
__What's in it for you__
This is a genuine opportunity to make the role your own, including the flexibility to take it in the direction you choose. It's all about growth here right now so the timing is perfect to offer such flexibility.
You will be remunerated generously and above all else, you will be not only walking through but part of driving an exciting time of change for this practice.
If we have sparked your interest, do give me a call. If it's not you, but you can think of someone who would thrive in such a job, do pass my details on.
