Working for a small, yet fast growing book keeping company you will be responsible for all accounting functions necessary in the preparation of the monthly accounts for a large portfolio of retail, FMCG and construction clients, and will have experience of dealing high volume accounting, in a fast paced role.

In this role you will carry out the following duties and tasks;

- Prepare and enter monthly invoices (High volume)
- Enter all suppliers invoices and staff expense claims
- Manage Inventory Purchases and Receipt items on arrival
- Ensure timely receipt and banking of client payments (Accounts Receivable)
- Prepare and manage the monthly payment of all suppliers (Accounts Payable)
- Prepare and manage weekly payroll Clients - Exonet
- Prepare bank reconciliations for each client and assist with cash flow management
- Enter timesheets and prepare time and cost reports as required
- Prepare GST and PAYE returns
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts up to General Ledger level
- Assist with other financial and administrative functions as required

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience;

- 5 years + accounting experience gained in a New Zealand based company
- Accounts receivable and accounts payable - High volume
- Inventory control
- Experience of managing accounting functions for a retail business
- Experience of working to General Ledger Level
- Experience of using Xero is essential
- Experience using accounting packages such as Exonet and MYOB
- Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills (we will test for this)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Be a natural problems solver and solutions orientated
- Have customer service focus and previous experience of dealing with clients
- Work well under pressure
- Have excellent communication skills
