Our client, leading manufacturer and supplier of building related products are looking for a commercially savvy individual. The successful candidate will posses a broad range of skills and attributes where they can utilise their Key Account Management and/or Business Development skills, project and specification exposure within the construction space. Is this you?

The job:

- Manage sales and promotional activities within the Wellington region
- Build a wide range of relationships to gain specification of the organisations products within a range of projects.
- Ensure Architects and Designers are continually updated with new products
- Ongoing training to distributors and their contractor customers to support growth of existing and new products
- Product training to internal and external stakeholders and the ability to confidently present
- Plan and coordinate a sales territory, call cycles and project tracking
- Develop and implement growth strategies for customers and to support project sales growth opportunities

The successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

- A solid understanding of the building/construction sector ideal
- Experience managing entire projects
- A strong technical nouse
- A background in tendering for projects
- A proven track record in sales within the building/construction sector
- Commercial nouse yet street smart with a strong ability to build rapport up and down the ladder
- A positive and hard working attitude
- Strong attention for detail
- People management experience preferred
