Our client is a large multi national company who require the services of an experienced Construction Manager with exposure to the Civil/Structural sector. This is a contract role, which will run until September 2017 and possibly longer.

As Construction Manager you will be responsible for the complete administration and organisation of construction activities and field personnel, and include the following construction management, scheduling and cost management responsibilities:

* Leading the day-to-day management of H&S and implementation of the H&S Plan
* Performing operational audits
* Assisting in developing the Construction portion of the schedule for the project
* Supporting the design process phase
* Participating in the development of the contracting plan and participating in bid reviews for future projects
* Managing and administering of the site contracts to achieve safety, quality, budget and schedule objectives
* Commercial administration of the assigned contracts
* Managing relationships with internal & external stakeholders and contractors
* Testing and completion of construction.
* Handover to Commissioning and Operations
* Monitoring project progress,and reporting on progress.
* Identifying & reporting of trends or potential slippages and reporting these to management
* Reporting to management on contract expenditures against the budget allocations for the specific project
* Forecasting the anticipated final project costs for approval using reports, time sheets, and field progress analyses
* Preparing all necessary client cost reports
* Analysing contract documents to ensure complete knowledge of Contractor and Client obligations
* Maintaining the Variation Report Register

To be successful in this business critical role you will require the following skills and experience:

* A tertiary Degree in Engineering and/or Project Management
* Construction Management experience
* Process engineering and process control experience
* ISO NZ 3190 knowledge (preferred)
* Proven experience supporting a high performance team culture
* Exceptional problem solving capability
* The ability to work independently to drive outcomes
