An innovative contractor has secured several wins from tendered work and also from existing clients. It's a prime time to join this contractor, they have positive brand awareness and have focused on getting the right people aboard creating a collaborative and open team culture. Led by motivated and youthful construction heads, the are looking to recruit their their next site manager to join the team.

What this contractor are looking for:

* 5+ years commercial construction experience as a SM on $5 - $15M projects in the NZ market
* Some structures experience in commercial construction (Insitu concrete, precast concrete, structural steel, craneage, shore-loading/propping, scaffold systems, etc)
* Planning/Programming experience using MS Project - you can draft up a programme
* Understanding of extension of time, scope of works for trades, defects lists
* Strong subcontract management skills, including resolving site issues and keeping the project moving forward
* Materials take-offs and ordering, good cost awareness
* Experience in supervising, motivating and leading a carpentry team of 8+ personnel inclusive of leading hand, carpenters, labourers
* Experience in assessing and managing HSE on a commercial construction project, you can run safety meetings

This role presents as an opportunity to head towards project management under mentorship. This role would suit an applicant with enthusiasm that is keen to get ahead.

Salary: $100K - $110K + a vehicle
