This is an established CA firm with three offices nationally with the Auckland office growing phenomenally. Offices are slick with harbour views, plenty of fruit on the table and planned social activities to enjoy. They really lead the Xero product with most of their clients utilising the system - most of their clients would be under $10M in t/o and range in need, but largely about business planning, tax structuring and financial projections as well as requiring your traditional compliance. They have well oiled in house systems that flow seamlessly and a team that is stable - team fit is essential to their success. They have two partners and one senior manager and this role sits beneath one of the partners reporting to the senior manager. Beneath you, you will be responsible for three staff.
This is a role that would see you acting as key support to the senior manager assuming responsibility for managing team workflow, client management and tax management. You would be driving performance of your team and delivering to your clients. Advisory work would be fed to you on an adhoc basis from the senior manager with great learning potential with the kind of work coming through. Other areas you will be touching on will be on going systems support with Xero, business financing, cashflows/budgets, and general staff management. Being disciplined about meeting deadlines is crucial in this role.
This could suit a senior looking to take the next step up into more managerial type duties where you could be limited currently.
A key component of this role is communication, so people and relationship development skills are critical in the success of this role. You will have at least 5 years experience in a BAS role that is broad and exposed you to a range of technical accounting issues. As this role has an exceptional technology focus, you must be technology savvy. CA qualification desired, but not essential. You are well organised and possess a sense of urgency adapting to the changing demands of the day while meeting deadlines in order of priority.
Pending experience, you would be look to be remunerated between $80K - $100K + a car park, as well as ongoing access to training and professional development costs paid for.
