The Company

Established for more than 50 years, this company is one of New Zealand’s largest architecture and design practices. A values driven business, focussed on trust and empathy, they pride themselves on developing employees, allowing them to improve quality of delivery. Due to a recent internal promotion, they are now looking for an Accounts Assistant.

The Role

Reporting into the Finance Manager, with a dotted line to the Company Accountant, this role will be responsible for the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts transactions. This will include:

  • Monthly sundry accrual listing
  • Credit Card processing
  • Petty cash and Petty cash journal
  • Payroll IRD payments
  • Fixed Asset Register update and maintenance and depreciation journal
  • Update actual Capex spend
  • FBT Returns
  • Accrual Journals
  • Fortnightly payroll back-up
  • GST Returns

About You

We are looking for someone who is keen to learn and develop themselves. The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • At least two years NZ experience in a similar role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication details
  • Highly organised with a strong attention to detail
  • A willingness to learn and develop 
  • Energetic and enthusiastic
