Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Payable Administrator to join their finance team on a temporary assignment.

As the Senior Accounts Payable Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of supplier invoices and payments, reconciliations, and supporting the finance department. You will work closely with the Accounting Manager and another Accounts Payable Administrator to ensure the smooth running of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring pricing and quantities are correct, and follow up on any variances, queries, and credits.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and reconcile accounts.
  • Process integrations for specific suppliers and handle invoice processing for specific suppliers.
  • Complete creditor statement reconciliations and follow-up missing invoices.
  • Schedule overseas invoices for payment and complete overseas payments in the online banking system as required.
  • Process weekly, 15th, and end of month payment batches through to the online banking system.
  • Reconcile GRNI account and follow up outstanding items.
  • Act as a back-up for the Accounts Assistant and other Accounts Payable Administrator.
  • Update policies and procedures documents as required.
  • Undertake additional duties and special projects as and when required.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a good understanding of the mechanics of Great Plains and relevant modules.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to relate to people clearly and concisely.
  • Intermediate Excel skills and the ability to create, maintain and update spreadsheets as required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy and within deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work proactively.
  • Good knowledge of accounts payable processes and practices.
