The Company
This is a successful retirement village operator that has significant plans for growth over the next 10 years. They have invested in both Greenfields and Brownfields sites with several villages under construction plus several in the pipeline. They operate a model where they engage a main contractor for their Brownfields villages and for their Greenfields sites, they run their own construction arm business with a PM and site staff responsible for each village delivery. Recently they have acquired another aged care operator with a strong redevelopment plan aligning with their 10-year masterplan. Their villages are high end in build and comprise townhouses, villas and apartments with full care suites and facilities.
Given the level of growth, they need an Assistant Project Manager to support an experienced client side/consultancy project manager. This role would see your fast tracking your knowledge and experience and can only be limited by your attitude and thirst for learning
Key responsibilities include:
- Assistance with Design coordination and management
- Responding to RFI’s
- Assistance with project planning, construction programme development and monitoring
- Supporting the PM with all administrational and paperwork tasks
- Stakeholder management
Key Background
I am looking for a project manager either from client side/consultancy or a main contractor with at least 2 – 5 + years experience worked on high value vertical builds commercial projects. Your portfolio may include working with clients building high rise, retirement villages, or mixed-use projects.
You will possess relevant qualifications in construction management, architecture, property or engineering. You are a proactive individual; results orientated and have a thirst for learning. You enjoy working in a fast-paced passionate team and enjoy time out with the team to celebrate success.
The Package
This role comes with a salary package of $90K - $115K + bonus. Travel maybe required at times to other sites around NZ, but largely Auckland
