Utilise your natural mechanical nous - work across the Civil construction space

Our client, part of a wider group and is a manufacturer and supplier of products to the civil construction space are looking for a 'hands on' Sales Manager who enjoys wearing many hats.

The job:

  • The development and performance of all sales activities
  • Provide leadership, support and direction for the sales team
  • Contribute so the development of training and educational programs for clients and sales team
  • Manage the delivery of customer service and the administration of the branch
  • Be responsible for the operation and safety performance of the branch operation
  • Manage customer relationships from a strategic level
  • Assist Account Manager's with proposals and presentations
  • Manage relationships with Australia factory and other 3rd party suppliers
  • Ensure safe operations of branch
  • Liaise with senior Managers on current market conditions, performance and opportunities

The successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven success in a role where you've worn many hats across sales and operations
  • A background in managing and motivating sales teams to continued success
  • A technical mechanical nous, qualifications in engineering is advantageous
  • An entrepreneurial sales approach is preferred over a strong corporate background
  • Have strong relationships built across the construction space in NZ
  • Energy and drive and ability to build strong relationships across the board
  • Experience managing a multi channel sales environment
  • Be strongly customer centric
  • A passion for safety, exposure to or knowledge of safety management systems and processes
  • Solid communication skills and ability to present confidently
  • A NZ Resident or Citizen
