The Opportunity
They are looking for an Intermediate Building Surveyor who’s ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll work closely with a Senior Building Surveyor and Directors gaining exposure to a wide range of surveying disciplines while taking ownership of your own projects. This role offers genuine progression, client interaction, and the chance to build specialist expertise.
The Role
- Carrying out building condition surveys, defect diagnosis, and technical due diligence
- Preparing clear, accurate, and client‑ready reports
- Assisting with project management and contract administration
- Supporting complex assessments and refurbishment projects
- Undertaking site inspections, compliance assessments, and maintenance planning
- Building strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Contributing to continuous improvement and best‑practice processes
Your Background
- 3–6 years’ experience in building surveying or a related discipline
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Strong technical knowledge of building pathology, construction methods, and compliance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with confidence
- A proactive mindset
- Ideally working toward (or interested in pursuing) professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, NZIBS)
