My client is a high-profile charity that is currently going through a significant period of positive change in their evolution. With their current CFO retiring, there is an opportunity to continue the growth and development journey with ongoing quality, innovation and dedication.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO your role will be to manage the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation along with broader commercial functions of the business including IT and Property including their commercial accommodation.
Of key importance is your ability to look at challenges and opportunities, understanding the existing environment and how you can continue to modernise, improve, and deliver high quality outcomes from your experience and commercial drive.
This role has several direct reports including Accounts, Payroll, outsourced IT Agency, and property related personnel.
The core objectives in the role include:
- Providing Strategic Leadership and planning
- Regular Financial reporting and management within agreed policy
- Investment management and reporting
- Support and develop the annual Business Plan
- Take ownership of insurance protection arrangement, purchasing and Asset management
About You
You will be CA qualified with experience managing a broad team and understanding of the key drivers within a business. You may have experience within the Charity sector, although this is not essential, and your commercial experience will be highly weighted. You will need to be a strategic thinker, with excellent communication and influencing skills across a broad audience. Highly credible with the ability to engage at an executive level and on the “shop floor”.
