About the role:
Intermediate level role - seeking a cloud enthusiast who is passionate in all things 'cloud'.
Here’s your opportunity to support and shape a suite of products as this organisation moves into the next generation.
Seeking a Senior Software Engineer to become part of a new platform team we are forming to power the ecosystem, accelerate development and provide governance for modern microservices build around the globe.
Get involved with:
- Build and run core the foundational components which underpin and support the wider ecosystem of microservices.
- Work on proof of concepts for various cross cutting concerns like Microfrontend, Identity Management, Event bus, Full Stack Observability – Logging, Alerting, Monitoring.
- Build React Components to simplify the work of other teams.
Enhance and maintain microservice templates, patterns and libraries to bake in cross cutting concerns - Using Typescript and NodeJs for backend. - Collaborate with the UX Team and Development squads in APAC, UK and India to understand their future needs, support their current usage and evangelize components built by the Platform team.
What you need to be successful:
- A solid understanding of SPA , Micro-frontend, Restful API and Auth fundamentals.
- Commercial experience developing software applications using React, Redux, TypeScript, NextJs and NodeJS.
- Ideally you will come from a Front End Development background but see yourself as Full Stack Cloud Developer who is ready to jump into AWS Infrastructure or Backend APIs to help with the team goals. We will give you time to upskill. To make it easy for you, they use Javascript across the board for Frontend, Backend and AWS (Infrastructure as code).
- You are a keen collaborator, both within the team and with the wider company.
- Passionate about building components and applications.
- Team focused.
- Eye for detail and for reliable code, quality work and are not personally satisfied with anything that is sub-standard.
- Outstanding communication both written and verbal.
Nice to have:
- We don’t expect anyone to tick all these boxes, but these skills would be advantageous:
- Experience in Identity Management systems like AWS Cognito, Okta or Auth0.
- You have above average experience in AWS across – Serverless, API Gateway, ECS, Xray, CloudWatch, CloudFront, Code Build, Deploy, Event Bridge and of course CloudFormations.
- Have AWS CDK with Typescript experience.
