Their projects span education, industrial, apartments, datacentres, and healthcare and vary from $10M - $150M. Due to an internal movement within the company and with the level of growth, they are now looking to hire a commercial manager to oversee multiple contracts and manage up to 10 QS’s
Your key responsibilities as a Commercial Manager are to

• Work with the Chief Estimator on all tenders and ensure projects fulfil construction buildability time frames
• Ensure all procurement targets are met
• Review and approve sub contractors and suppliers agreements
• Forecast projects costs, contract price and final completion.
• Ensure contractual management over all commercial issues and resolve issues as and when required with QS’s and project teams,
• Dispute resolution
• Attend all meetings and be highly influential over consultants, clients and project teams
• Review and approve payment schedules, EOT, and variations.
• Oversee financial management and ensure completeness of financial reports to leadership team
• Mentor and professionally develop a QS team and contribute to technical commercial content at training groups
• Provide written monthly management reports to the Board understanding financial risk areas and opportunity for growth

What your background looks like.

• Tertiary Qualifications in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying or similar.
• Commercial construction experience at Commercial Manager level or Project Commercial Manager or Lead QS level, ideally from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor
• Highly experienced with 3910, procurement, contract claims, financial and management reporting

• Well experienced with team leadership and management of QS’s
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
