This is a busy developer who are now seeking a compliance coordinator to manage all council‑related compliance activities for a major construction project. You’ll be the key link between their internal project team, consultants, and Auckland Council — ensuring every stage of the build meets regulatory requirements and progresses smoothly through the consent and inspection process.

This role is ideal for someone who understands the realities of development and construction, communicates confidently, and can keep complex compliance documentation organised and moving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building consent coordination — Prepare, lodge, track, and manage building consent applications, amendments, and RFIs.
  • CCC management — Oversee documentation, inspections, producer statements, and close‑out requirements to secure timely CCCs.
  • Council liaison — Act as the primary point of contact for council officers, inspectors, and regulatory teams.
  • Inspection scheduling — Coordinate building inspections, ensure site readiness, and follow up on any corrective actions.
  • Producer statement management — Collect, verify, and file PS1, PS3, PS4, and other compliance documents from consultants and subcontractors.
  • Compliance documentation control — Maintain accurate records including as‑builts, QA documentation, warranties, and O&M manuals.
  • Regulatory tracking — Monitor changes to building codes, council requirements, and relevant legislation.
  • Project team support — Work closely with site managers, the project manager, and consultants to ensure compliance milestones are met.

Skills & Experience
  • Experience in construction compliance, council processes, or building consent administration
  • Strong understanding of the Building Act, Building Code, and council regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills — able to confidently engage with council officers and technical consultants
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, producer statements, and consent conditions
  • Proficiency with construction software (e.g., Procore, Aconex, or similar)
  • Previous experience with a developer/builder would be ideal

Salary: $80K - $85K
