They are now looking for a commercial construction QS to sit within their larger interiors division.
The role would be expected to be able to manage interiors project commercially as well as assuming overall responsiblity for managing the job with a site manager underneath.
The role will cover:
Tender estimates and review
Meeting with sub-contractors
Project protocol set up
Cost management and monitoring of projects
Project management variations
Project management improvements including improving site management performance
Commercial construction experience of at least 7 years is essential from a main contractor. Interiors experience would be an advantage but not necessary as only a small portion of their work is true “Interiors”. Your cost management skills and commercial acumen are excellent with proven results in increasing profitability on projects. Experience in pre-contract work would be highly beneficial. You work well within a team environment and thrive on the pressure that construction projects bring. You are tertiary qualified with a quantity surveying major ideally.
The remuneration package is highly competitive and commensurate with experience, $120K - $150K and will include a fuel card, laptop and phone.
