In this senior leadership role, you’ll play a pivotal role across two major portfolios; the IHC owned residential services portfolio, and the community housing portfolio owned and managed by their subsidiary, Accessible Properties, together making up close to 3000 sites nationwide.
These homes provide safe, stable living environments for people who need them most. The way these property assets are maintained truly impacts on the quality of life and your work will directly support that.
What you’ll be doing
This is a senior, hands-on role with a nationwide remit, responsible for:
Procurement & Contract Strategy
Leading the development and execution of contracting and procurement frameworks
Overseeing contract arrangements for maintenance, upgrades, and supply agreements
Driving improvements across processes, templates, and contracting standards
Contractor Performance & Market Management
Assess contractor capability, coverage, value-for-money, and performance
Run procurement activity, panel appointments, and negotiation processes
Engage confidently with legal teams and senior leaders
Commercial Support for Acquisitions and Developments
Provide procurement and commercial expertise across new property acquisitions and development activity
Relationship & Stakeholder Leadership
Partner closely with Asset and Project Managers, Health & Safety leaders, and external FM providers
Maintain strong working relationships with Tier 1 suppliers.
Health & Safety & Compliance
Ensure contracting activity aligns with H&S expectations, legislation, and organisational policy
This role does not have direct reports, but it is highly influential, your leadership shapes practice across a 4,500‑person organisation.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who combines strong commercial acumen with practical property sector experience, ideally in large, complex asset environments.
Proven experience leading procurement, contract frameworks, and contractor management
Confidence negotiating and structuring commercial agreements
Experience in facilities maintenance contracts and/or trades contracting
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
The ability to operate autonomously and proactively
A values‑aligned approach consistent with IHC’s principles of Care, Trust, Respect, and Commitment
A relevant tertiary qualification (Commerce, Property, Business, Finance, etc.) is desirable.
