We’re looking for a Corridor Access Engineer to join the Transport team of a local public sector organisation.

As the Corridor Access Engineer you will help manage the construction, improvement and preservation of roading infrastructure, ensuring that work is completed to requirement, through best practises and in a way that is efficient and cost effective.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Auditing of work sites to ensure work is undertaken in accordance with specifications and requirements and that health and safety practises align with the organisation’s requirements.
  • Inspecting all completed work to ensure that requirements, specifications and standards are met.
  • Advising, assessing and resolving issues surrounding private development/activities so that it does not negatively affect the road corridor.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective and co-operative internal/external relationships with groups and individuals, with a commitment to collaboration for optimal outcomes.
  • Developing new policies and guidance to support best practice and strategic priorities.

You will bring to this role:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the National Code of Practice for Utility Operators’ Access to the Transport Corridor
  • Working knowledge of relevant asset management software i.e. RAMM/CAR/Submitica/B4Udig
  • Proficiency in general computer skills including Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Current full unrestricted Class 1 drivers licence
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management (COPTTM) is desirable
