We’re looking for a Credit Controller to join a people-focused public sector organisation.
As a Credit Controller you will be responsible for the reconciliation, collection, and debt management for a large component of the organisation’s debtor’s ledger. You will also be responsible for:
- Accounts receivable processing – ensuring any invoices, credits, refunds or right-offs are valid, transaction records are accurate, and processes and internal controls are complied with.
- Accounts receivable month end close tasks and reconciliations – ensuring regular reports, statements and tasks are completed accurately and within deadline.
- Customer service – receiving, investigating, and resolving customer queries as required.
The role is a practical hands-on one, pitching in to assist when and where required and will be responsible for day-to-day debt management for assigned parts of the debtors’ ledger.
You will bring to this role:
- Previous experience in a Credit Controller position
- Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications (e.g. Oracle, SAP, Excel and Word)
- An ability to uncover and solve problems
- Strong organization skills and an ability to marshal resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things done
- A willingness and ability to work as a team player, build positive relationships and assist others when needed
