Our client is a market leader in logistics solutions, moving a third of NZ’s export goods across the country. They are currently seeking an industry experienced team player to join their domestic team as a Customer Logistics Specialist.  This is a full-time front- line customer logistics role covering maternity leave.

Hours of work (two options available) - 6:00am to 2:30pm or 10:00am to 6:30pm with rostered Weekends.

Candidates will require:

  • High attention to detail
  • Computer savvy and be able to pick up systems quickly
  • Ability to work to deadlines and timeframes
  • Ability to development strong customer relationships
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Freight forwarding or logistics experience essential
  • Full Drivers licence for site visits

Responsibilities include:

  • Liaise with customers for all their freight requirements
  • provide efficient customer service for internal and external communications
  • All bookings are processed effectively
  • Ensure freight discrepancies are dealt with
  • Ensure paperwork is accurate and supplied on time
  • Reporting and Analysis – issues, risks and trends
  • Special project work – site visits
