We are seeking experienced Cyber Security Engineers with strong backgrounds in incident management to join our client for 3 -6 months contracts. The ideal candidates will have experience in writing detection logic in Splunk and understanding threats for business applications.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and respond to security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and identify root cause,
- Write detection logic in Splunk to identify potential security threats,
- Research and analyze security threats to business applications,
- Develop incident response playbooks for the SOC team based on the SIEM detection logic you develop
- Work with other teams to develop and implement security best practices
To be considered:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in cyber security incident management ideally within a large, complex organisation,
- Strong understanding of network security concepts and protocols,
- Competent with SIEM solutions and log file analysis,
- Experience in writing detection logic in Splunk,
- Competent developing Cyber Security Use Cases, Incident Response Playbooks, and security orchestration and automation,
- Competent understanding of Cloud and other Security Standards / Frameworks e.g. CSA CCM, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS.
