The purpose of this role is to perform a targeted product and pricing master data clean-up in the new system; to rid the system of old, unused, or duplicate data, using standard templates and processes to provide accuracy and consistency across the item catalogues.
Duties will involve:
- Analyse supplier product and price files to spot data patterns, gaps, and issues
- Perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Work with suppliers to ensure complete and accurate master data
- Process escalations/tickets, validate requests, and update item master data
- Ensure all data changes follow internal data‑governance standards
- Validate new pricing requests to keep system pricing accurate
- Communicate proactively with stakeholders to resolve issues
- Maintain high‑quality, consistent master data across the item catalogue
We would be very keen to hear from interested candidates with experience across some of the following areas:
- Experience in retail/FMCG/manufacturing, with a natural ease in helping resolve day‑to‑day issues
- At least two years’ experience in either New Zealand accounting or general business-data recording, with strong analytical skills
- Experience of Product and Supplier Master Data, in a high-volume, customer-focused organisation
- Good knowledge of product information management and maintaining data standards
- Familiar with ERP inventory systems and how they support smooth operations
- Professional knowledge of MS Excel, with ability in analysis and lateral thinking
- Naturally analytical with a knack for spotting patterns, trends, and gaps
