Our client is an established, mid-sized, locally-owned, insurance business, well positioned for growth and future success.
An opportunity has become available for an experienced Data and Reporting Analyst or Data Engineer to work autonomously between the finance and technology teams and play a pivotal role in delivering performance reporting and data insights to key leaders across the business. These reports may be provided as traditional reports, dashboards, data visualisations or any other representation that will enhance usability and provide value to the user of the information provided.
The role will interact with the Technology team and their suppliers and will be responsible for liaising with Product Owners and executives to understand their business needs, gather, document and prioritise requirements, develop reports, insights and analytics as required to meet the needs including testing to ensure reports are operating as intended.
In addition, the Data and Reporting Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining a data dictionary for use across the organisation and for the identification, ingestion and cleansing of new sources of data so they can be integrated into reporting suites and managing some system enhancements, report generation and conducting testing.
To be considered for this key position, you will have a significant amount of experience in a similar role with advanced Microsoft data warehousing skills including Power BI; Azure BI and ETL tools; SQL and VBA; and, Advanced Excel modelling. In addition to your technical abilities, you will pride yourself on your communication abilities and capability to develop collaborative, customer-focused stakeholder relationships at all levels.
Candidates will require a good understanding of Accounting & Finance concepts such as IFRS17; a background in insurance or related sectors would be highly desirable.
