We are seeking a Data Developer for one of our clients. This role sits within the Data and Analytics Services team, which is within the Knowledge, Information and Analytics Unit of the Information Management Division (IMD). The role assists in the growing of their capacity to make a greater impact through data.
The purpose of the role is to support staff and other stakeholders to use data for insights and decision-making and have information at their fingertips through leading the creation and curation of an authoritative, single source of truth, that’s able to amalgamate data holdings across the organisation and external sources (Datahub). This role is a technical thought leader for data warehousing.
Note: Candidates must be a New Zealand Citizen
What you’ll need to succeed:
- This role is a specialist role, requiring expert data analysis and manipulation expertise
- Excellent knowledge of standard good practice data management and processing practices, processes, and mechanisms
- Strong knowledge of information structures and metadata schemas
- A highly developed sense of the requirements of good governance and the need to adhere to sound processes
- Extensive experience with a range of data ingesting, and manipulation tools
- Knowledgeable user of SQL, management studio, SSRS, SSIS, (or similar) and Source Control
- Exposure to Power BI and R (or similar)
