Digital Communications Advisor

This position will give you the responsibility for leading and implementing effective external communication channels critical to the welfare of New Zealanders. As a result, honesty and integrity are a must, as building trust and confidence with such communities will be a major focus of the role. Essentially, the organisation wants to present itself as a trusted advisor and is looking for someone who will fit this ideal.
Main Deliverables:
Working closely with the Marketing and Communications advisor, it will be your responsibility to manage the content published through the various communication channels deployed by the organization. From social media to more traditional methods such as the organisation's website. These channels will require regular monitoring to ensure the organization's situational awareness of any information that might impact its reputation. As a result, this role will also require someone who can appropriately respond in an emergency, as you will ultimately be the first point of contact from external sources.
What is Expected:
Due to the focus that this role places on community engagement as well as entrusting whoever is hired with the reputation of the organisation, strong relationship skills are important. You will have to be able to work collaboratively within the small team that you will be placed in. Furthermore, given the focus on regular monitoring of channels to maintain the organization's situation awareness. You will also have to be action-oriented and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
