We are partnering with Whittaker’s to find an experienced and switched on Digital Marketing Specialist to join their team for 12 months to help them drive and support Whittaker’s digital presence supporting the growth of their brand internationally. This role is based in Porirua.

In this role, you would be working closely with the Marketing team to plan and implement digital marketing initiatives, including EDM campaigns, web and social media activity, to successfully meet brand and product strategies and targets. You will be providing ongoing customer insights to identify new opportunities for the business, focusing on digital and direct initiatives that deliver value back to Whittaker’s and their customers.

In this role you will:

  • Take a lead role in growing, improving and maintaining Whittaker’s E-commerce presence and for the running and content management of their websites and social media channels
  • Manage Whittaker’s digital platforms (including social media, websites and e-commerce) and optimising for performance across all markets
  • Lead the reporting and performance analysis to assess campaign effectiveness across all digital channels and assets in order to provide meaningful reporting and recommendations

Key deliverables in this role include:

  • Developing social media content plans that are consistent with the company’s brand ensuring consistency and alignment across the entire marketing plan
  • Supporting the Brand Managers to create consistent, meaningful content on all social media platforms, including writing and editing social media posts, improving customer engagement, and promoting social media campaigns
  • Working with Whittaker’s agency to develop a longer-term social strategy and identify future platforms to ensure the brand stays at the forefront of social innovation and creates strong connection with new audiences
  • In conjunction with our agency, using analytical tools such as Google Analytics, , and Facebook Insights to monitor and evaluate the company’s social media and web presence and performance across markets
  • Optimising performance of existing E-Commerce site
  • Managing, monitoring and improving the day-to-day activity on the site, its overall performance, improving user experience and increasing website traffic
  • Supporting the Brand Manager accountable and key agencies, support the development of the future E-commerce strategy for Whittaker’s and implementation plan
  • Website management and website content curation
  • Using web analytics develop and maintain performance reporting

We are looking for someone with the following experience and skills:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in digital marketing and e-commerce
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience developing and executing social media strategy, campaigns and reporting
  • The ability to adapt to and thrive in change
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Hands-on experience in managing and maintaining e-Commerce websites/portals
  • Familiarity with web design and a strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of various platforms and online sales strategies and can be used to conduct digital sales or website conversions
