Estimator

Purpose of Position:

The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of civil construction works within the scope of the market reach and for overseeing the preparation of estimates compiled by other staff.
More generally, the Estimator shall assist the bid team in preparing tenders including (in addition to preparing estimates), developing tender strategies, procurement and construction methodologies and assisting with compiling the tender submission.

What you need to succeed:

•             Min 3 years’ experience in estimation.
•             Communicate effectively and professionally with stakeholders.
•             Sound knowledge about the Civil Construction industry.
•             Capable of reading plans and construction documents including   specifications and contracts.
•             Effective time management and scheduling skills.
•             A methodical approach, with an eye for detail and accuracy.
•             Ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines is critical.
•             Highly computer literate proficient in computer applications in MS Excel, MS Projects and CCS or similar estimating software.
