I am currently looking for a recently qualified Chartered Accountant, with experience in BAS Accounting, or Auditing roles, for an exciting Financial Accounting opportunity. This is a role with mentoring opportunities, as well as a varied and interesting workload.

As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for overall external financial reporting outputs. This involves working across annual reports, updates, forecasts, estimates and provision of information for finance related ministerial requests. 

Other Duties Include:

• Prepare accurate reporting deliverables, within deadlines, across several standard and adhoc reports
• Prepare accurate responses to finance related ministerial and OIA requests, as required
• Preparation of the annual report, meeting internal and external reporting standards 
• Prepare and review financial recommendations for cabinet papers, providing expert financial analysis as required

We Are Looking For: 

• Recently qualified Chartered Accountant, with experience in the public sector, or in BAS Accounting/Audit
• Understanding of public sector and corporate finance processes and reporting standards 
• Knowledge of the machinery of government, as well as government operating procedures 
• Ability to learn, pick up new processes quickly and work to changing deadlines
