The Client:
My client is a high-profile national distribution organisation that is constantly changing and has recently experienced unprecedented growth. As part of this growth, they are looking for a highly commercially focused individual.  They have an amazing culture and an existing high performing team.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Finance you will be responsible for the core financial aspects of the business.  This role will give you the opportunity to impact and influence the organisation.

This is not a desk bound role for a traditional accountant, yes there is month end and board packs, but also a lot more to keep you busy. You will be involved in the strategic decision-making process and as the trusted financial business partner you will provide high level support to the wider business.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Provide accurate and timely month end and year-end financial statements
• Provide high quality operational accounting and support to the branch network
• Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders – This is not a desk bound role!
• Provide consulting on accounting and accounting governance matters including analysis to senior managers
• Work effectively with external stakeholders – auditors and tax consultants

• Several years’ experience in a senior finance role within a corporate environment
• Lead and managed a finance team
• Strong hands on financial and management accounting skills
• A commercially savvy individual who can work at pace, and push back when required
• Superb communication and presentation skills
• Experience working in industry, Manufacturing, FMCG, Retail or Distribution would be highly beneficial
