This position plays a key role in the development, design, installation, testing and maintenance of software systems to the businesses. It is also responsible for making sure all changes to critical systems are well understood, thoroughly tested, and clearly communicated.
This position reports to the Development Team Leader and forms part of a collaborative cross functional agile team working closely with the Development & Support Manager, Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Product Managers, and Business Analysts, to ensure the delivery of satisfactory projects to the clients’ expectations.
As part of the Team
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the software systems which are the responsibility of the Client’s software team and the relationship of those systems to customer business processes.
- Ensure proficiency with the set of technologies used by Client’s in support of its customers.
- Keep abreast of new technologies and advancements in the information technology industry in general and the Client’s computing environment in particular.
- Maintain an open, communicative and sharing style of work so that information about software systems, procedures and designs is well understood and appropriately documented and disseminated within the Client’s team to ensure quality and continuity of support for customers.
- Complete all development, maintenance and support tasks in accordance with the expected standards and with the objective of providing the customer with a highly professional standard of service.
- Contribute to the development of Company standards and the application of best practices.
- Font End - JavaScript, React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS (Stronger emphasis on React)
- Back End - C#, VB, .NET, .NET Core and software development best practices
- Cloud - AWS (Microservices, containers, server-less technologies, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, APIGateway, Route53, CloudFront, S3, SNS/SQS)
- Databases - SQL and NoSQL
- CI/CD - Azure Dev Ops, Infrastructure as Code
- Building and developing observable, monitorable, scalable platforms.
- A passion to explore and use new technology/approaches to solve problems.
- ASP.NET Core & REST API development..
- Familiarity with Test-Driven/Behaviour-Driven Development.
- Significant knowledge and understanding of Agile and SCRUM principles.
Note: Must be eligible to work full-time in New Zealand.
