General Manager

 My client is a well-known Entertainment, Retail and Hospitality entity located in the heart of the Auckland CBD. The have a long history with secure ownership and a vision for growth across their existing portfolio.

About the role:

The General Manager’s role is to lead, oversee, plan and strategize for the day to day and long-term growth & success of all operations & their activities across the group ensuring that each operation and their employees are operating in an effective and compliant manner, while growing and developing the individual businesses and their people.

The role is responsible for ensuring the strategic direction of the group is clear, consistent with the individual Divisions strategy and a development path is underway. Understanding the growth strategy, identifying investment opportunities, and delivering on the day-to-day operational property management objectives.

Manging several direct reports will allow you to facilitate and improve the operations whilst delivering on strategic objectives whilst managing the commercial drivers of the business.

About You:

You will have previous experience leading a team in a Commercial Property entity, understand the complexities around facilities management, lease negotiation and developing a strategic plan for on-going success and development.

You will have experience across the following areas:

  • Strategic Property management
  • Identifying and assessing investment opportunities
  • Project Management
  • Project funding channels
  • Financial and commercial management
  • Leadership experience
