A family based high end residential business has an excellent opportunity for a residential QS that is looking to expand experience and take sole charge of all estimating and contract administration responsibilities.

They build beautiful homes delivering to the highest of standards across both new build and renovations. They have a staff of 20 and projects are spread throughout the greater Auckland region. The are a great bunch of people with a nice social culture often holding team events and catch ups.

As a family run business, much of the estimating and contract administration work to date has been completed by the owners. They are now looking for a QS that will work with the owners to take charge of the financial and commercial functions of the business.

Your role will entail

  • Pricing and tendering work 
  • Take offs and scheduling 
  • Contract administration
  • Financial reporting and variations
  • Orders preparation
  • Supplier management/negotiating
  • Meeting with clients and discussing builds 
  • Site Visits

In order to be the best fit for this position, we are looking for an applicant that has a desire work in the high end residential space. Your key background is that you are a tertiary qualified QS with at least 4 - 5 years of residential QS experience including knowledge of NZS 3604 and NZ construction processes. You need to be able to hold your own in meetings possessing strong communication ability. The role involves visiting sites and liaising with site managers. They use Co Construct so experience in this system is ideal but similar systems experience would be of value.

The remuneration package envisaged for this role would be $75K - $100K
