This innovative main contractor is busy but has a key need for Quantity Surveyors to lead several projects. They have an energetic working environment and have grown significantly.
Specifically, they have a significant project in the inner-city, which is a new-build with 61 three and four storey terraced houses, plus an apartment building comprising 48 apartments – all on the same site. The project has kicked off this week, so it’s the real deal. They've got a very experienced site team in place, with their commercial manager currently leading the QSing on the job. They want to back-fill that QS role with a Senior QS to free up the commercial manager’s time, or support the project with an intermediate QS.
The role will include but not be limited to:

Variations, progress claims and invoicing

Contract administration

Negotiating with suppliers and sub-contractors

Tender evaluations

Site Health and Safety
Background for this role will involve:

3 -4 + years of quantity surveying experience on commercial projects

Tertiary qualified with either a Diploma or degree in quantity surveying

Attention to detail with a thorough approach

Strong numeracy skills

Supplier negotiation skills
-
A flexible and co-operative attitude

High level of communication skills

Solid computer-based systems knowledge
