This is a well-established Australasian commercial construction company with a strong reputation for delivering projects on time and on budget with an outstanding commitment to client service delivery. They are gaining traction in the NZ market and have plans to capitalise on opportunities by leveraging key NZ clients.
They are now looking for a driven and motivated commercially minded Estimator/QS to support the Senior Estimator.
Working with the Senior Estimator, the key focus will be performing tendering and estimating tasks of the construction process from start to completion. With support, your responsibility will include being able to complete full estimates independent of sub contractor pricing, and analysing information for the preparation and presentation of tender projects. There will also be procurement aspects in the role and some elements of post contract work from time to time.
In order to be a success in this position, you must have at least 4- 5 years of estimating experience across a range of commercial builds working for NZ main contractor and a relevant tertiary qualification. You possess well developed local market knowledge, an understanding of rates and commercial construction legislation.
