This main contractor has a market great reputation built over decades. They are well structured from top to bottom allowing delegation of decision making and empowerment of staff. They are now on the lookout for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to commercially lead and provide financial management for the delivery of a $60M project. They are a contractor continuing to experience a consistent uptick of work into 2021.
Being site based and reporting into a Commercial Manager.
Your duties will involve:

Commercial project leadership
-
Liaising with sub-contractors & clients
- Financial reporting & cost monitoring / projection
- Preparation, submission and negotiation of Interim and Final accounts
You will need to possess the following to apply:
- A relevant Quantity Surveying qualification
- Experience working for a Main Contractor, at least 10 years ideally in NZ
- Experience working on commercial projects over $20M in value, particular experience as a site based project QS ideally
- Advanced level of contract law knowledge
- Strong systems skills
- Ability to spot opportunities to make return better margins
