Working with the managing director, the key focus of the role is to assist in managing the tendering and estimating tasks of the construction process from start to completion. Areas of responsibility include using resource consent plans and analysing information, providing construction pricing for contracts, evaluating the feasibility of these opportunities, preparation and presentation of tender projects, completing multiple take offs, attending meetings, identifying opportunities, process improvement, and quality assurance.
This role requires you to work as the Lead Estimator in the business, it requires a strong appreciation of margins, being responsive to change and achieving commercial profit targets.
In order to be a success in this position, you must have at least 8+ years of estimating experience across a range of residential builds and/or commercial as well as a sound knowledge of the local market understanding rates. You possess a relevant tertiary qualification.
