This is a construction group that have enjoyed sustained success, delivering outstanding commercial development projects over the past 20 years. Their current pipeline of work is significant and includes mixed use office and retail developments, retirement villages, warehousing, refurbishments and high volume residential. They are also underway with their flagship project, a $300M retirement village.
This role would be working on their largest aged care project leading a crew of 4-5 carpenters/hammer hands/labourers and managing full packages for a Site Manager, for example. carpentry works, concrete works etc
There is opportunity to progress towards site manager, you be given progressive responsibility for day to day management and co-ordination of the site, delivery of projects to schedules and programme, OSH, subcontractor management, and building relationships internally as well as with other consultants. You will be exposed to structural works, large insitu walls and beams, fitout aspects including complex joinery and as well cladding systems/facades.
To be a success in this role, your will have at least 4 years site experience in the NZ construction market and understand site structure and deliverables. You must have initiative, strong leadership skills, be well organised and be responsive to change. You possess a carpentry trade qualification and be keen to grow in one of the industries more reputable commercial builders.
Salary on offer $40 - $45 p/h + veh depending on your level of experience.
