Are you an experienced Operations Manager with a passion for leading people, delivering exceptional service, and creating positive outcomes for the community?
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join a well-respected not-for-profit organisation that supports New Zealand's healthcare sector. This is a newly created role due to continued growth and represents a fantastic opportunity to play a key leadership role within an organisation that genuinely makes a difference in the lives of people and their families.
Based in the Grafton/Newmarket area, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy facility that operates 7 days a week, ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational excellence, and a warm, welcoming environment for all visitors and stakeholders.
About the Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for leading and supporting three key operational teams:
- Facilities
- Housekeeping
- Customer Service / Reception
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines people management, operational oversight, stakeholder engagement, facilities coordination, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading, coaching, and developing multidisciplinary teams
- Ensuring smooth day-to-day operational delivery
- Driving exceptional customer and guest experiences
- Overseeing facilities, maintenance, and service standards
- Managing health, safety, risk, and compliance requirements
- Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Managing budgets, purchasing, and operational reporting
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
- Supporting organisational growth and future initiatives
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience in an Operations Management or Senior Leadership role
- Strong people leadership and team development skills
- Experience managing multiple operational functions simultaneously
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
- Strong financial, planning, and organisational skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Experience working within hospitality, accommodation, healthcare, facilities management, or service environments
Experience within hotel, hospitality, accommodation, or guest services environments will be highly regarded.
