Our client is a well-respected not-for-profit organisation operating within the healthcare sector. They provide vital support services to people across the community and are seeking a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Team Member to join their property and facilities team.
This is an ideal opportunity for a semi-retired tradesperson, handyman, gardener, or maintenance professional looking for meaningful, flexible part-time work.
About the Role
Working as part of a small and supportive maintenance team, you'll help ensure the organisation's properties, grounds, and shared spaces remain safe, well-presented, and welcoming. The role requires someone who can work independently, take ownership of assigned tasks, and contribute positively to the wider team.
Hours: 3 days per week, 7 hours per day (21 hours per week)
There is flexibility around which days are worked, along with the opportunity to work additional hours or days to provide cover when required.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out general building repairs and maintenance

Painting, plaster touch-ups, and minor repairs

Property inspections and reporting maintenance issues

Cleaning and upkeep of common areas, car parks, patios, and outdoor spaces

Deliveries, pickups, and stock movement

Preventative maintenance tasks

Gardening and grounds maintenance, including lawns, planting, and seasonal upkeep

Managing rubbish and recycling areas

Following health and safety procedures and maintaining safe environments for staff, visitors, and contractors
About You
We're looking for someone who is practical, trustworthy, and enjoys taking pride in keeping facilities well maintained.
You'll ideally bring:

Experience in building maintenance, trades, plumbing, mechanical work, or general handyman duties

Gardening or landscaping experience (advantageous)

A strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously

Good communication and interpersonal skills

A friendly, team-focused approach

Physical fitness and ability to undertake manual tasks

A current full, clean driver's licence
